The "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," Philosopy

Whoever said "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," is, for lack of better words, a complete imbecile. Clearly they are incapable of speaking proper english, and furthermore, if humanity had followed that logic throughout the course of history, we would still be riding in horse drawn chariots, the "new world" would still be undiscovered, and the mere idea of allowing women to vote would be deemed ludicrous. This quote is used by anti-activists and lazy people alike and is a sorry excuse for a life philosophy. I personally think that change is necessary and beneficial to humanity. It advances our technology, our culture, our society, laws, schools of thought, and much, much more. I'm sure there will be many who disagree but to them I say, go live in the stone age, or even the middle ages and then tell me that change is not necessary.
